We will be going to Sanibel Island (The Light House location) as we did on our last Small Boat Day Trip back in March of 2018; it was a great outing and we had a good day anchored very near to the shoreline.  Bring lunch, chairs and extra "goodies" to munch on. Rest rooms and facilities are nearby. 

For anyone who is new to the area waters, your guide to our destination is to head towards the Sanibel LightHouse.  Not far from the Light House (going NNW) is a Fishing Pier.  The beach area is within sight of the Fishing Pier.  Click here for chart.

Weather Forecast

We are always concerned about the weather when boating and although we try to pick a good weather window, choosing a date 10 days out is a challenge even for the pros.

We viewed a reliable weather posting, hence the date we picked for our day trip. Nevertheless, there always is the chance we may need to cancel the trip due to weather two or three days prior to the trip date. If that is the case, we will do so by email, and postings on pool and mail box bulletin boards.
